Verona And Arena

Departure by coach in the morning every Thursday with arrival in Verona after about 2,5 hours. Leisurely walk around the historical city centre and a short visit to the medieval house of Juliet. Departure from Verona to Sirmione, free time for lunch and visit to the moated castle Rocca Scaligera and Catullus's Villa. Departure from Sirmione and return to Bibione at dinner time.

Departure from Bibione in the afternoon on a luxury coach with a tour guide to reach Verona at about 5.30 p.m. Walking tour of the historical centre , free time for dinner and admittance in the Arena. Departure from Verona as soons as the opera ends an return in Bibione late in the night.

Verona is one of the most fascinating cities in Italy with his medieval, gothis and renaissance art, his beautiful churches, the roman Arena and the banks of the Adige River. It was a city of the Gauls and the Romans and the capital of the Ostrogoth. After that it passed under the domination of the Scaligers (1206-1387) and finally became part of the Republic of Venice.  
Verona is bound forewer to the love story of Romeo and Juliet and the Opera performed in the beautiful Arena.

The Arena is of the 1st century and ist the most imposing Roman construction after the Colosseum in Rom. During the summer it's used for opera performance and can hold 22.000 spectators.
